This lovely photo was taken by Ryann Anderson. She visited us over the Christmas holidays and sent us a whole heap of photographs so be on the look out for more fun shots from Ryann. We also featured two of Ryann’s photos in our very first brochure. Thanks Ryann for all of your help.
One of the reasons people come across the harbour to Stocking Island is to have a look at our resident stingrays (some refer to them as manta rays). These beautiful and gentle sea creatures are especially delighted when guest feeds them scraps that are discarded from the conch salad making process. They also like to hang around and may swim under you when you are playing or relaxing in the water close by the shore. Don’t be afraid though they are mostly friendly, although I wouldn’t test them by grabbing their tail or anything. Thanks Shari for sharing this photo of the young girl feeding the stingrays. We used this one on the brochure too:-)
The Exuma sky is captured with a beautiful blend of purples, oranges and blues. This photo is an intro to a huge library of photos from Chat ‘N’ Chill guest and Exuma fan, Laura Michell Mullen. She has promised to share her extensive catalog of Exuma photographs with us. I am hoping that she will guest post and give words and life to some of the images that she has captured (yes, that is an invitation, Laura). Thanks for sharing!
