How to Get Here
“Located a stone’s throw from one of the prettiest harbors on earth”
“Slightly more than a mile off George Town’s shore lies Stocking Island. The 7-mi-long island has only seven inhabitants, a gorgeous white beach rich in seashells, and plenty of good snorkeling sites. Jacques Cousteau’s team is said to have traveled a length of some 1,700 feet into Mystery Cave, a blue-hole grotto 70 feet beneath the island. To enjoy the setting sun from Stocking Island, head for the Chat & Chill, a lively open-air restaurant and bar right on the point.”
Chat ‘N’ Chill® is situated at The Point on Stocking Island in George Town’s Elizabeth Harbour, surrounded by crystal clear warm turquoise water. The only way to reach Chat ‘N’ Chill® is by boat or seaplane (you could always swim). A 5 minute boat ride takes you to the perfect place to spend a day relaxing by the beach, participating in number of activities or simply to enjoy a great meal.
No worries, it’s easy to get here. If you are not booking a tour, where a trip to Chat ‘N’ Chill® is already included, you will need to rent a car or hire a taxi to get to George Town. From there, the most popular ways to get here are:
1) Take the water taxi in George Town from the government dock. Phone is 242-464-1558. It’s best to call from a Bahamian cell phone or have your taxi driver call.
2) Rent a boat from Minn’s Water Sports in George Town; we’re less than a mile away, just a short ride across the harbor.
If you get lost, simply ask ANYONE, where to catch the boat to Chat ‘N’ Chill® because everyone knows! Remember, “if you don’t experience Chat ‘N’ Chill®, you really haven’t fully experienced Exuma! ” We didn’t make that up….many have said it but unfortunately the quote was from the now closed Four Seasons Resort on TripAdvisor.com.
