Meet the Team

Aaronaldo Rolle aka “Da Conch Man” can be seen out on the beach, cleaning and chopping conch with such finesse it’s like he was born to do it. “Ronaldo” is a man that rolls with the flow. With a life as good as his, who needs to make other plans? Ronaldo loves to spend his time fishing when he’s not at the conch shack. In fact, he’s a talented spear fisherman – a true island sport! One day he’d like to have his own farm and live off the land. The best part of his life, he says, is all of it. “Island life is good living,” he says.

Ashmarie Smith can be found helping customers in the air-conditioned luxury of the Chat ‘N’ Chill® gift shop. Born and raised in Exuma, she learned English from her father’s Bahamian side of the family and Creole from her mother’s Haitian side. Big things are in store for Ashmarie. She is working toward her nursing degree and wants to open a much-needed affordable health clinic in “the family islands” of Exuma. The best part of her life right now is being young, she says, because there are so many things to learn and discover.

Kyntyn “Smiley” Delancy is one of our talented bartenders here at Chat ‘N’ Chill®. He is originally from Nassau but moved to Exuma with his grandmother. Kyntyn’s favorite thing on Earth is the water. When he’s not behind the bar, you can find him sailing. If he won the lottery and money was no object, he would help Ashmarie from the gift shop go to nursing school.

Patricia Morley was born right across the harbor in Georgetown. She’s stayed because she loves island living so much. “The best part of my life is living in Exuma being crime free and living on the beach.” She says living in Exuma is living in paradise, that everyone gets along. Her hobbies are meeting people, swimming, and just having a good time. One day, she’d like to buy a piece of property and open an animal shelter.

Sammy Williams was born and raised in the Exumas, and he has the perfect island injury to prove it – a shark bite. “I was pulled down in 60 feet of water,” Sammy said. “By the grace of God I was spit out and I’m here today.” Sammy wouldn’t change anything about working at Chat ‘N’ Chill®, not even if he had all the money in the world. “Even if I won the lottery, I’d keep working at Chat ‘N’ Chill® because I love getting to know new and interesting people.”

Ulrick Laurore is the longest-running employee of Chat ‘N’ Chill®. Nearly 2 decades ago, Ulrick worked his first shift on the grill after moving from Haiti. “Chat ‘N’ Chill® is a nice place with nice people, and it’s been good to my family,” he says. “It’s a good life on Stocking Island.” Ulrick says living here is living in paradise. “You can walk anywhere here day or night,” he says. “No one will bother you.” His advice to travelers is to not be surprised when everyone in the Bahamas says hello to you even though they don’t know you.

Kenneth “KB” Bowe is the creator and co-owner of Chat ‘N’ Chill®. Originally from Exuma, KB left the Bahamas to earn his degrees in mathematics and economics, as well as an MBA in Finance, in the U.S. After several years working as an economist for a major bank in Chicago, KB could no longer resist the call to return to the Exumas. He returned and opened Chat ‘N’ Chill® as a haven for boaters, travelers, and international beach bums.

Alex Louital

Alex Louital From Chat ‘N’ Chill® Intern to College Graduate. Alex was born in Nassau and raised in Exuma, Bahamas. He is a 2nd generation honorary member of our team.  His mother, Vita, was one of best-loved employees, always dancing with our guests during Seadancer’s Rockin’ Ron parties!  At the young age of 13, Alex started as an intern, and is one of our Chat ’N’ Chill® experts, as he would work during college breaks and can do almost anything! One of our most frequenting clients, who I call one of my sister “Island Mommies” generously fully sponsored Alex’s full tuition, room, and board, and he graduated in May of 2019 from Texas Southern University with a BA in Sports Management with a concentration in Business Administration.  Alex is now pursuing his Masters of Business Administration. When he is not studying, Alex enjoys playing basketball, running, fitness, being at the beach and of course, now hanging at Chat ’N’ Chill® when he is back home in Exuma;-)!

A Unique, Chill Experience

quotationreview-ratingWe always have a great time at Chat N Chill, its just fun hanging out there and is a great spot for photographs. We rented a boat from Minns to get there but the water taxis are an easy and fairly inexpensive way to get there too.

quotationreview-ratingThere are just some places that you visit and say "wow, what a cool place!" That was my experience. We had burgers for lunch which were fine, but the atmosphere was incredible. A classic Caribbean beach bar...

quotationreview-ratingWe stopped at the Chat 'N' Chill on our Stocking Island trip. I tried the conch for the first time and I really liked it. The bar was full as expected but the beach was nice and people were having a great time. Feeding the stingrays was cool and I enjoyed our stop.
